The Key Tax

The Key Tax is a humorous First-Person Puzzle game that satires on the nonsense of everyday bureaucracy.

The game was created in 7 weeks by 16 students of Breda University of Applied Sciences as a case study for an academic research by Prof. Dr. Mata Haggis - The Taxonomy of Keys.

My Work

  • Onboarding and tutorialization of game mechanics and systems
  • Rational puzzle design using a variety of metrics
  • Scripting gameplay and level mechanics
  • Using environmental storytelling to convey the absurdity and humour of the game world
  • Working with an external client and preserving their vision while designing content
